A seven-day cleft lip and palate surgical campaign has been
Conduct by the Health Department of the KBU Organization, in
collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of
Afghanistan.
The ““Children
Need Us”” Organization is pleased to announce the successful completion of
its third cleft lip and palate surgical mission at Atatürk Hospital in Kabul.
This
humanitarian mission was conducted from March 26 to April 1, 2026, with the
participation of two highly skilled plastic surgeons from India. During this
period, a total of 47 patients—primarily children registered from various provinces
across the country—underwent successful surgical procedures.
Among the
treated patients:
All
surgeries were completed successfully, and the patients were discharged in
stable and healthy condition, returning to their families with renewed hope and
improved quality of life.
It is
noteworthy that this marks the third successful mission organized by the health depart met of KBU Organization with the
support of “two experienced plastic surgeons from
India”. In the
previous two missions, conducted in 2024 and 2025 at Istiqlal Hospital,
approximately 100 patients received successful surgical treatment by specialist
doctors from Germany and India.
The
success of this mission was made possible through the dedicated,
round-the-clock efforts and close collaboration of the medical staff and
leadership of Atatürk Hospital. Their professionalism, commitment, and strong
coordination with the international team played a vital role in delivering
high-quality care to all patients.
