At KBU, we believe education is a lifelong journey that should be accessible to everyone. Through our Adult Education & Literacy programs, we provide opportunities for adults who may have missed out on formal schooling to gain essential reading, writing, and practical knowledge.
These programs are designed to improve not only literacy but also the everyday skills people need to manage their personal and professional lives. Adults learn how to read and write with confidence, understand basic numeracy, and apply knowledge in real-world situations such as financial literacy, health awareness, and communication.
By offering flexible schedules and community-based classes, KBU ensures that adults balancing work and family responsibilities can still access quality education. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals with the tools they need to secure better employment, support their families, and contribute to the development of their communities.
KBU’s Community Learning Centers (CLCs) are safe, inclusive spaces that bring learning closer to the people. These centers serve both children and adults, providing access to books, digital resources, and learning materials that many communities would otherwise lack.
At our CLCs, students receive tutoring support in key subjects, while adults can join workshops focused on skill development, literacy, and vocational training. We also organize community-driven programs such as health awareness sessions, career guidance, and cultural activities, ensuring the centers address the holistic needs of the community.
The vision of KBU’s Community Learning Centers is to reduce educational inequality by creating hubs where knowledge, skills, and opportunities are shared freely. By encouraging collaboration and inclusivity, these centers help children stay in school, support lifelong learning, and build stronger, more resilient communities.
